Solo launch on a hot summer morning. I tried for a lower free lift today (3-4 grams), but the wire slipped through my fingers and I didn't get an exact measurement. Launched at home with party gas and 2 partially filled 30" balloons. Transmissions were via a 36 gauge antenna hanging wire and a 32 gauge support wire between the tracker and the balloon.

Launch at family picnic at home with party gas and 3 partially filled 30" balloons. Stable float achieved at about 30,000 ft. until the last hour when the balloon rose to 37K and then presumably burst. Transmissions were via a 36 gauge antenna wire with Kevlar kite string between balloon and tracker to carry the weight. High free lift of 10-11 grams.

Launch attempt in strong breeze. Balloon caught in treeline and destroyed :( The balloon never got high enough to transmit so no data was received.

First launch from the parking lot at Lenape Technical School. Filled balloons about 75% full with helium from welding program. Max altitude of 11,000 feet. There was weather in the north atlantic the night the balloon lost contact. We used 32 gauge antenna wire at 12 grams.Â
LW01 flight --- Tracking Spots after 2 hours in flight. Nearing 9000 feet in altitude.
